The NDIS participant portal is called myplace.
It is a secure website portal on the Australian Government’s myGov website where you or a person you trust (a nominee or child representative) or an NDIS Service Provider can access your NDIS information. To make it easier to find and use information further enhancements have been made to the myplace portal and among the changes, participants and providers will be given more search functionality features, access to new reporting mechanisms and improved service bookings.
Keywords: Bulk Payment Request, NDIS service bookings, NDIS Claims, dashboards, quality data, ndis, ndia, widgets, Linked Data widgets
As part of enhancing service bookings, participants will be able to search by provider name or provider registration number, to find both active and inactive service bookings using a simple, text box search.
Providers will have the option to:
- search and sort their service bookings more rapidly using a simple text box search;
- download a report containing their service bookings and information such as participant name, support category, allocated and remaining amounts and date last modified;
- download a report containing participant plan information that the provider has consent to view;
- set how often they want to receive correspondence to their portal inbox about service booking changes; and
- extend service booking end dates with acknowledgement of participant consent.
Further myplace portal enhancements will be progressively rolled out by the NDIA over the next year. The NDIA does not expect any interruption to the availability of the myplace portals while this enhancement is being delivered.
NDIS Finance Integration Strategy
FlowLogic is designed to export Internal invoice data to an organisation’s Finance software package like MYOB or Xero. Xero’s API allows for direct access and no download is required. For MYOB a file must be downloaded from FlowLogic and then uploaded into the MYOB system. Our Digital Solution Architects ensure all codes match for your Finance system making sure it will be distributing these Invoices and managing the accounts payable, receivable and reconciliation processes.
To determine the best approach regarding Finance integration for your organisation, the following should also be considered:
- the required financial analytics your organisation needs,
understanding how debtors in Flowlogic work, - finance configuration must be completed to import invoice data into your Finance system,
- responsibilities and workflows for generating Internal [Direct] Invoice batches,
- responsibilities and workflows for generating NDIS bulk payment requests,
- considerations for NDIS funding transitions, and
understanding how your organisation chooses to reconcile and remit invoices.
Generally speaking, Providers generate invoices for Participants, Nominees and Plan Managers in a separate invoice batch and at different periodic cycles to the invoices generated for the NDIA. Generating Invoice Batches for these debtors will align with an organisation’s standard billing cycle e.g. fortnightly and monthly.
Invoicing the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
Where a Participants NDIS Plan is fully, or partially, Agency managed, your service bookings need to include NDIA line items prior to the export being generated or simple our Funding Exporter will give an alert on your preflight check screen. Given that there is no guarantee that every claimable item within the Bulk Payment Request will be accepted, the main screen of the Funding Exporter will give you sophisticated financial figures and the ability to track the rejections with ease. Benefits of only using one system to make adjustments to your unsuccessful claims to be addressed and then re-processed accordingly.
Updating the invoice data in Flowlogic to account for rejections in the Bulk Payment Request is vital to ensure the accuracy of Clients NDIS Funding information is maintained. If this is not updated, resulting in incorrect Funding balances reports, NDIS Statements or any other Financial Report available in the system.
NDIS reconciliation, reports and expenditure
After invoices and NDIS Bulk Payment Requests have been marked as completed all generated payment requests and invoice batches will remain available to view in the Funding Exporter menu, for useful reconciling against the remittance advice received from the NDIA.
To ensure the accuracy of Participants Funding information the corresponding NDIS bulk payment request file contains the information to mark your claims or invoices as paid in your finance system.
NDIS statements are available for review, print or export from the Funding Exporter’s main screen, summarising the support items for each client and the available sort filter can display your data categorised by date, participant, NDIA cluster or funding stream. There are overarching reports available from the Reports sections to review the NDIS Service Breakdown and Available Funding as required.

Service bookings Checklist
There is currently no mechanism for providers to edit a service booking once it has been submitted, amendments are only actionable by the NDIA.
NDS recommends:
- Ensure service bookings are in place prior to delivering the service.
- Ensure the service booking accurately reflects the support item funded in the participant’s plan and the agreement with the participant, detailed in the Service Agreement. For example, if the provider has agreed to provide weekly support for six weeks, ensure the service booking duration reflects the six-week period only.
- Ensure there are no duplicate service bookings with the same support item and overlapping dates – the portal will not accept a service booking with overlapping dates.
- Ensure all data is entered accurately and in the correct format.
